I am inspired by little pockets of tangled jungle that are reserved for snakes to inhabit, in Kerala India. Every house used to have an area dedicated to wilderness, called a “kavu.” Since it was not allowed to go in, I found them fascinating!
It boggles the mind (mine) to think of the biodiversity, and the wisdom of past generations. The impact of this pushed me into the field of ecology… and now I revisit the jungle in paint.
