A detail of my fresco painting of clouds, finished this week.
Natural pigments on a fresco secco panel made of burlap and plaster. 24″ x 24″
Using a very limited color palette presents some challenges, but lets me explore value and texture. Here the white is the plaster substrate showing through, the blue and grey are brushed in.
I have been meaning to simply paint the sky for some time. Sky, air, breathing… impossible to take clean air for granted.
